2019: TSC CSR Initiatives

What is Corporate Social Responsibility? Corporate Social Responsibility, commonly referred to as social responsibility or CSR, has a broad range of definitions and examples. Ultimately, it can be defined most simply as an initiative in which companies take responsibility for the communities their business operations effect. Read more here.

As the end of the year approaches we wanted to take a moment to celebrate all the great organizations and communities we were lucky enough to contribute to this year.

Sammy's House -

Sammy’s House is a nonprofit organization in Austin, Texas with a mission to bridge the gaps in services for children and youth who are medically fragile and/or developmentally delayed. In 2019, TSC partnered with Sammy's House to provide IT support allowing this organization to optimize theirs systems and spend their time on where it matters.

TSC donated $4,000 of engineering time and $2,500 of equipment. We sped up their systems, improved their network, replaced old hardware with new, performed data transfer and so much more. We look forward to continuing to support Sammy's House and the great work they do in 2020.

Together Against Domestic Violence

TSC partnered with several like-minded companies in the South Americas to help those in need as a result of domestic violence. Some of the contributions made to the community included donations of milk, free hair cuts and manicures, various workshops, oral care and more.

Casa do Amor ao Próximo -

The Casa do Amor ao Próximo is a non-profit organization concerned with the future of children and adolescents. Through various initiatives, this organization promotes opportunities for development throughout various life phases. TSC along with Dell EMC Donation contributed to these initiatives by donating cleaning and personal hygiene supplies as well as materials for cooking classes.

Socks 4 Souls -

Socks 4 Souls Canada is a completely volunteer based organization that helps to provide

clean socks for Toronto's homeless population. Why socks? According to a 2018 census, there are over 8,700 homeless individuals in the streets in Toronto, and that over 20% of their

medical problems are foot health related. This year, TSC Canada is proud to participate in their first annual Sock Drive with a promise to match the number of socks donated by our very own team members. To start your own Sock Drive, visit Socks 4 Souls Canada website or to contribute to TSC's sock drive, comment with your contact information in this blog post and we will reach out to you.

We can't wait to continue giving back to our communities in 2020. What do you do to give back?
